2 Burn

Originally performed at The Living Theatre as part of the 15th Annual NY International Fringe Festival, FringeNYC, August 2011

Part gay noir and part meditation on memory and loss, 2 Burn centers on the relationship between Paul, a professor of English and theory, and Manny, an ambitious but struggling college student. Fresh from a bad breakup and stymied by writer's block, Paul turns to Manny for validation and companionship, becoming his lover as well as his tutor. Manny devours Paul's teachings, intent on mastering the power of words. But Manny has a secret, and its discovery ultimately leads both men to battle for control over language, sex, and each other.
